I really don't think that this Muslim preaching (or any preaching) at the start of a DNC meeting is necessary. The meeting has nothing to do with any religion.
Also, Jesus wasn't a Palestinian- he was a Jew in Judea which was renamed 'Syria-Palestina' by the Roman Empire that conquered it. I'm worried if that is the direction the Democrats are going.

There are only 442 members in attendance, so the magic number to win is 222. It also opens up the possibility of a tie...

I don't think so. This is just typical procedural stuff. I've gotten used to it.

I expect Ellison to have support from all states east of NY, the left coast, and the upper midwest. The heartland was strong for Sanders too so he should have support there.

They are about to vote on Resolution 33, which would reinstate a ban on corporate cash.

After this resolution, they will consider two other resolutions, and then begin the procedures for Chair elections.

Hopefully this goes down. This isn't a very well written measure.

They should.

There is some confusion now because Pelosi (Nancy's daughter) changed some of the language for Resolution 33, so now both sides want to kill the original language so they can get to debating new language, but they still have to go through all of the parliamentary rules required.

Someone asked whether labor unions would be classified as corporations under this resolution and Brazille couldn't give a legal opinion. I think that shows that it was pretty short-sighted.

But didn't they want to replace it with a different resolution?
