Ellison's campaign source says they still think have it -- says they will get all of Sally Brown's votes. We will see.

Even if Ellison manages to win (which is still what I want), it's clear that the divisions in the Democratic Party aren't going away.

If I were a Berniecrat I'd rather have Ellison in the House than as fundraisier/hack-in-chief. What if he's replaced on Congress by a Blue Dog? How does that help the movement at all?

Best case he's replaced by another Berniecrat, but the new one will be inexperienced and less effective for a while.
Lol.  Yeah, Minneapolis is gonna vote a blue dog into congress... stop being disingenuous.

When she says clickers I think The Last of Us.

Watch us nominate Cuomo or Booker in 2020. Never learn.

If we go with the assumptions that every Boynton Brown voter will go with Ellison and Greene's 0.5 vote will go to Perez, with them reallocated it would be Perez 214 to Ellison 212. In the 1st ballot, there was also 1 vote for Buttigieg, 1 Abstention, and 2 blank ballots.

I just think it's striking how Ellison blew such a lead, and I supported him. Considering this it's probably best he won't win.
How did he "blow" such a lead?

Ellison camp hoping that a combo of people abstaining to lower needed number to win & picking up a few more votes will put him over the top

By now Ellison has the same hope as Hillary had when Trump was winning in the Midwest.

A former administration that lost over 1000 state legislature seats over the course of 8 years wants to push for a guy whose highest elected office is city council to lead the DNC.

I concur, just look at the #NeverTrump crowd of cowards who ended up voting for him anyway.

If we nominate Cuomo, I'll leave the party forever.

Jesus, there is a MASSIVE gap between selecting Tom Perez (who is undoubtably one of the most progressive members in Obama's cabinet) as DNC Chair, and nominating Cuomo (who actively campaigned for republicans) in 2020.

People need to have a little perspective here. Perez is establishment, do doubt, but what it means to be establishment in the 2017 Democratic Party is dramatically different from, say, the 2004 Democratic party.

But you're forgetting, if Perez wins, it's literally the worst thing ever.
