i like ellison as DNC boss but his ambivalence to israel would hurt him as a presidential candidate i guess.

A leaked audio of Ellison claiming that the Jews benefited from 9/11 probably won't hurt him too much

Jews weren't mentioned. Obviously PNAC, which said that we needed a "new Pearl Harbor" to change opinions, benefited.

This needs to be a full time job we need someone like Reince who is committed to this 24/7 and not dealing with Congressional duties. They also need to a good fundraiser and manager and I don't think Keith is either of these.

Democrats can't afford to be cucked again.  I'm glad these people are listening now.

If DWS could serve in Congress while running the DNC and Tim Kaine could serve as governor of a state while doing the same thing, there's no reason Ellison shouldn't get the same chance.

And we all know that turned out well, right?

...Yes, the 2010 and 2014 disasters were totally contingent on the then-DNC chairs being officeholders.

Yes, let Keith Ellison dig the democrats an early grave.  I mean yeah, Progressives love having diversity in their party but is he right for the job? You're going to see the Democrats take a huge turn to the left and they will fail even more against the Republicans. I'm really excited to see more conservatives in office!! Keith Ellison is a Trojan horse.

The Republican Party is an ideologically right wing political party.

The Democratic Party needs to become a truly ideologically left wing political party on not just social but on economic issues.

No more should the Democratic Party be doing any pretending to be “centrists.”

No longer should the Democratic Party be the Republican Party, Part II.

Neoliberalism and globalism are strangling the people who are the have-nots and are among the approximately 50 percent of the nation’s workers who generate $30,000 or less per year in adjustable gross income. And these bad trade deals are a part of that problem. The nation has overfunded the military. Surveillance is used to control the people.

Hillary Clinton was the status quo of the two major political parties.

Donald Trump looked like the game-changer in the race. (We will find out if that happens.)

There wasn't really much Kaine could've done and I don't blame him, but is there really any ambiguity about how awful DWS was?

If Ellison wins, it'll be a good indicator that the Dems learned nothing from 2016.

that is the thing i hate most about election losses.....

everybody assumes what he dislikes himself is the great, big lesson of this year....no offense.

nominating a midwest/great lake-populist is the path to failure?

or is his black muslim demographic just sooooo annoying to the totally-not-race-related election results?

In reality,  believing that "oh white people are so racist they would FREAK OUT if a black guy was leader" would be proof the Democrats have learnt the wrong lesson from 2016.

not as if d.n.c. chair is necessarily the most public-facing position regardless. how many people do you think decided their 2012 vote based on d.w.s.?

Yeah, especially since many of these people, as I keep saying, voted for Obama twice.

I don't think Ellison would necessarily be the best option but I don't think he'd be a particularly bad option either.
