So Dems throw out a woman whose only reason for keeping her was identity politics, to hire an anti-Israel 9/11 Truther. Great work guys. Really.

I think a lot of people think DNC Chair makes you King of the Democrats. Not how it works.

When most people hear the word chair though, they think "everyone answers to them, and they approve all the major decisions in all aspects of the organization". You need someone to fundraise? Okay, employ a fundraising chair. But don't pretend that person controls the whole organization by calling them the chair of the party when all they actually do is fundraise.

I know it's probably a longshot, but I really hope Pete Buttigieg wins at the end of the day.

Is there a comprehensive list of how individual DNC members have pledged their votes?

I know the ODP chairman is for Perez and the Mayor of Dayton (originally from IN) is for Buttigieg.

It's a secret ballot. We're not supposed to know.

If Perez is nominated for DNC chair, it's pretty obvious that any real change in the Democratic Party is going to have to come up from the bottom-up, not starting at the national level.

This is honestly sad, though. Instead of realizing where the real energy is and trying to capture that, the DNC would rather sink their heels in further and clutch on to the same ideas that have failed them the last 20 years.

Quoting for future reference. If Ellison is the chair, Ds will suffer. Call me stupid if you want, but I really don't see how putting a anti-Semitic 9-11 truther as party leader is going to do any good. And that's what Ellison is, whether you want to believe it or not.

^ This is by secret ballot. People can tell you they're voting for you, but there's always the possibility they'll backstab you at the actual moment they have to cast their vote. I wouldn't put any real stock in "whip counts".

My preference is Buttigieg, but honestly, #ANYONEBUTELLISON

Deputy Chair or Co-Chair? Is there a real difference?

It's deputy chair, not Co Chair. And Deputies are totally normal, DWS had like 6 of them.

All the states and territories. What is wrong in saying that

He said the word state. And no, no one is going to make the Northern Mariana Islands or the U.S. Virgin Islands a state, sorry.

Perez specifically calls out the sixth district in Georgia as a place to elect a democrat. Looks like they might actually try in a tough special election for once.
