Who care. The DNC chair isn't the leader of the party and their power is greatly exaggerated by the Bernie people.

Obviously not you. It's not just about leading it's being transparent about where funds are going. Perez has been the only candidate that has refused to be interviewed.

Does that matter? Perez was smart to avoid TYT's ambush journalism.

Not wanting people whose views on all but a few issues are diametrically opposed to those of a party inside said party = "purity tests". OK, then... Roll Eyes

Slicing up Democratic electorate is a recipe for permanent Republican rule. I thought this was abundantly obvious.

And if Democrats are to win elections in the future, they need the MasterJedis of the world as a part of the coalition. The demographic trends of this election was not a one-off event.

I haven't read anything about Trump this week that's infuriated me as much as that paragraph.

Then you have your priorities seriously out of wack.

Are you serious? These people are the only thing we have stopping us from all the terrible madness Trump is proposing, and their way of mobilizing people against the terrible sycophants in power is more math problems.

The outrage you're expressing reminds me of the outrage about Pelosi saying this country is capitalist. Much to do about nothing.

Do you recall that Obama had an advanced data operation in his two presidential campaigns? It paid off in spades. I mean the way that guy said it was dumb, but you have to use some elements of data when targeting districts.

I know it's probably a longshot, but I really hope Pete Buttigieg wins at the end of the day.

Tom Perez finally accepted an interview from TYT Politics and he pretty much failed and showed his true colors. Especially at the end.

The witchhunt against Tom Perez is quite disgusting. "Who in the Bernie Sanders world is supporting you?" Who f**king cares? The party does not revolve around a guy who's not even in said party.

I think it's very possible this goes to multiple ballots, which could give Buttigieg a chance.

If it goes to multiple ballots, would either Ellison or Perez have a better chance?

Buttigieg could position himself as a compromise candidate.

How many claimed votes does Ellison have? I'm sure he's either around the same or not that far behind.

There's some irony in that the most action the Democratic Party has taken regarding Muslims is trying to prevent one from becoming DNC chair.

This is a bad take and you know it.

I feel that the next DNC Chair should be Ellison, but I fear that it's gonna be Perez.

Why do you fear that?

Dude, I voted for Sanders in the primary and I support Ellison, I still think this thread is stupid.

Good for you, but a lot of people don't feel the same way you do. I don't think calling these people stupid and their ideas stupid is not productive.

Tell me who's calling their ideas stupid? I'm with Gass on this one.

They are about to vote on Resolution 33, which would reinstate a ban on corporate cash.

Hopefully this goes down. This isn't a very well written measure.

Vote on motion to strike the resolution passes. Corporate cash stays.

Someone asked whether labor unions would be classified as corporations under this resolution and Brazille couldn't give a legal opinion. I think that shows that it was pretty short-sighted.

I seriously don't get Putin's long game on what he did because Trump could very well lose in 2020 or be forced out earlier an the next democratic president will be openly hostile to him

His goal is to destabilize the West and weaken NATO significantly by getting people like Trump, Farage, Le Pen, and others into power for at least some period of time. This will allow him to make further advances into Eastern Europe.

Poor guy. Sad

Notice there is also a Keith sticker on that water bottle too.

Maybe a hint as to how Pete's voters will swing towards?

Also this guy... lmao.

If Perez had pulled that, many people would be going crazy. This is an incredibly shady move from Ellison's team, assuming it was done directly by them.

Quite analogous to what Lyin' Ted did in Iowa.

This is like when Clinton responded to a $15 minimum wage with "how about $12.50?".

And instead we get neither.

Okay, I am no longer worried. Perez did what HRC never did: he extended an olive branch to the other wing of the party the first chance he got.

HRC did do that, but whatever. Anyways, it's a symbolic move, but this whole thing is in nature, so good showing by Perez and Ellison.
