Why are progressives worried about this so much? Party Chair is basically meaningless unless they're completely incompetent.

If you pick Perez you will lose atleast 30% of the party. It's obvious now that Democrats are paid to be weak and lose.
The DNC chair is meaningless and only a handful of activists actually care.

McMahon's the wife of the owner of the WWE, so that makes sense.

The first one is a little weird, it links to a 2009 appearance on Hannity where Cena agreed that she should be deported, but didn't really answer any questions. Not very much to go off of.

Ellison's campaign source says they still think have it -- says they will get all of Sally Brown's votes. We will see.

Dave Weigel ‏@daveweigel  2m2 minutes ago
Ellison camp feeling bullish about second ballot.

If we nominate Cuomo, I'll leave the party forever.
No you won't, you'll go all in for him just like with Clinton. Everyone threatens to defect but nobody does
I concur, just look at the #NeverTrump crowd of cowards who ended up voting for him anyway.

Jesus, there is a MASSIVE gap between selecting Tom Perez (who is undoubtably one of the most progressive members in Obama's cabinet) as DNC Chair, and nominating Cuomo (who actively campaigned for republicans) in 2020.

People need to have a little perspective here. Perez is establishment, do doubt, but what it means to be establishment in the 2017 Democratic Party is dramatically different from, say, the 2004 Democratic party.
But you're forgetting, if Perez wins, it's literally the worst thing ever.

Berniecrats in this thread:

"Wah, wah, the candidate I liked more 'cause muh tone and symbols lost the fundraising and electoral strategizing role to someone I don't like cause muh neolibrals."

GMAFB

Electoral strategizing is, in fact, the main thing that there's reason to believe Perez will be non-trivially worse at.
Steele was rather inept and yet, the Republicans won in 2010. And Barbour was just a lobbyist in 1993 who also lost a senate race in Mississippi badly.

So this is the new DNC Chair:

Could these morons possibly find anyone more divisive?  That was honestly the most sick, disgusting and dishonest thing the Clinton campaign did during the primary and this punk was behind it.  He can go f*** himself.

Didn't Sanders also say that Clinton was unqualified to be Commander in chief?

No offense, but are you stupid or something?  This clown, after the New Hampshire primary sent Podesta an email saying that Bernie may have the youth vote but we can try and create a narrative that he only has the white youth vote, which would play well in South Carolina (his exact words).

This is Dirty Politics 101, the kind of tactics I usually expect from Republicans, not someone leading the Democratic party.  It is dishonest because I am sure this punk knows Bernie wasn't racist, and extremely hurtful to many progressives who were portrayed essentially as white supremacists.

If you're happy with this a-hole, fine, be my guest.  But Perez doesn't give a f*** for anyone but himself and his bosses.

Given how credible you take this source to be, I'm sure you won't condemn any Trumpist who uses Breitbart news or anything equivalent.

The DKIM verified e-mail is here. Tom Perez sees identity politics as something that can be used in a divide and conquer manner against progressives.

LOL, Wikileaks?!  Is this the same group that won't release anything critical of their boy Trump?  And you consider them a reliable source?

It's a DKIM verified e-mail. Sure, attack the source, but it's verified.
Oh, sorry, I forgot that the left shouldn't take their blinders off.

The party specifically made Ellison vice-chair to pander to you people. Hillary turned her platform into a true leftist wet dream. Just a few examples.

1. Ellison isn't vice-chair, he's deputy chair. And that's an entirely new position that doesn't mean anything.

2. Hillary Clinton didn't run on a f-in' platform. Yes, stuff like minimum wage was in the platform. Did  she talk about that at the stump? Did she talk about that in her ads? No, she talked about how Dangerous Donald was mean, she works hard, and how it's her turn.
Having gone to an actual rally, yes, she brought up the minimum wage, expanding the affordable care act, and student loans on multiple occasions. She called out Trump twice, but referred to the platform over a dozen times.

Just because you didn't hear about it doesn't mean she didn't run on that platform. If anything, it shows the bullsh*t about the emails and Trump's nonsense have crowded out everything else.
