My Precinct in SW Portland now that Multnomah County has their precinct level results up:

It's an older than average precinct for Portland, established Middle-Class with recovering housing values, and a significant Jewish population in several of the local neighborhoods.

It was one of the strong Clinton areas in Portland in the '16 Primary, although Bernie still won by 8%. Republicans are an endangered species now, like in most parts of Portland, and Trump only eked out a 2% win over Kasich and only captured 42.1% of the Republican vote, running essentially unopposed.

Clinton- 4,330 (82.07%)   +2.6% from '12
Trump-  528 (10.01%)      -7.7% from '12
Johnson- 155 (2.94%)       +1.9% from '12
Write-Ins- 144 (2.73%)      +2.1% from '12
Stein-  119 (2.26%)           + 1.5% from '12

2012: General Election

Obama- 1826  (79.5%)
Romney-  407 ( 17.7%)
Johnson- 24    (1.0%)
Stein- 18        (0.8%)
Write-In 13     (0.6%)
Rocky Anderson- 10   (0.4%)

2016 Primary:

Bernie:  1551 (53.84%) : Clinton:  1322 (45.89%)
Trump:   191 (42.07%) : Kasich: 180  (39.65%); Cruz: 45 (9.91%); Write-Ins 38 (8.37%)

Clinton won 94% of the vote, Stein beat Trump by one vote. Incredibly proud and honored to not live in a precinct full of neo-nazi trash people.

I'm not letting you get away with calling Trump supporters "neo-Nazi trash people".  There were many reasons to vote for Trump - from liking some or all of his policies to opposing crooked Hillary to wanting to stop the Supreme Court from being yet another ultra-liberal bastion.  Half the country isn't "neo-Nazi trash."

Besides, I haven't forgotten that you were Trump's biggest booster during the primaries.  You wanted Trump to win the Republican nomination.  Under your interpretation, doesn' t that make you neo-Nazi trash, too?

It's Lief.... you should know that by now old timer.   Wink

Don't know if you were following, but he said a ton of incredibly insulting and offensive statements about Bernie supporters during the primaries....

I think I got frustrated enough one night, that I accused him of being on the Payroll of the Clinton campaign....

Regardless of my very many issues with Trump, the vast majority of his voters are not Neo-Nazis, and I can't recall how many times I have taken abuse on this forum from certain individuals simply for standing up for WWC Democrats in places like WV and even rural Oregon....

What does disturb me about the Trump campaign is not just a ton of policy differences, but rather the way that the "alt-right" or aka White Supremacists feel emboldened, and a few of these Thugs are now close to the corridors of power.

Back on topic.... how did your precinct vote Cinyc???

Macleay, Clallam County

Trump - 371 - 51.81%
Clinton - 299 - 41.75%
Johnson - 29 - 4.05%
Stein - 11 - 1.53%
Other - 6 - 0.83%

Bill Bryant - 372 - 52.54%
Jay Inslee - 336 - 47.45%

Chris Vance - 368 - 51.90%
Patty Murray - 341 - 48.09%

Derek Kilmer - 358 - 51.51%
Todd Bloom - 337 - 48.48%

Rural exurb

So what happened in Clallam County that narrowly went for Obama in '12?

Looks more like a drop-off of Democratic Voters to 3rd Party Candidates, since Romney actually performed better than Trump....

Seen a few similar patterns in Oregon, but just curious what your local take on the '16 results is....
