I'm actually okay with this. Not sure how this would play over with those who wanted it gone entirely, like the entire R congress.

"Mr. Trump said he favors keeping the prohibition against insurers denying coverage because of patients’ existing conditions, and a provision that allows parents to provide years of additional coverage for children on their insurance policies."

Told ya.

Obamacare - he'll only change it a bit.
Deportation - he'll double down Obama's effort.
Wall            - more resources to border control. Of course, Mexico will pay for it.
Weapon      -  he'll introduce tougher law. In some way.
Abortion      -  up to states.
Gays/transgender - up to states.
Environment  - this one I am not sure Sad
Wars           - realism and pragmatism. No more wars for Democracy's/SA:s sake.

ACA - his congress wants the full repeal, and he can't do it on his own
Deportation - we'll see, but nothing indicates such
Weapon - this will backfire on him if he does
Abortion - it is already law under the constitution. Neither he nor anyone else can change that.
LGBTQ - what is up to the states? Marriage is already law, and any "Religious Freedom" law will be struck down
Environment - he said "clean coal" and instructing the EPA to ease regulations; that should be enough of an indication.

The story for the first 6 months of the Trump Presidency is going to be Trump Vs. Ryan. Trump has to try and do some of the things he promised or he'll lose those rust belt voters that won him the election. Ryan finally has the trifecta of a GOP House, Senate, and Presidency and he wants to pass his wishlist for making America into an Ayn Rand "utopia." If Trump backs down now after all he did to get here, he will be the biggest wimp in American history.

Well, if Congress does what it does and votes to repeal Obamacare again, he'll have to sign or veto the bill, won't he?

"GOP is held hostage by Trump" was true when he got a nomination and it is even more true now, when he won all they wished.

The only realistic way for GOP to survive is to follow his orders. If he goes down, because of his bad policies, is more or less OK for them, but if he goes down, because they won't cooperated, they are f**ked, they will be to blame by his base that loves him. No more white rural glorious days.

Probably, they can impeach him, but I doubt, they manage to do it.

This was the campaign's plan all along, and my second biggest reason to support him after abortion. The proposal was doubled roughly 3 weeks ago from the proposed $550 billion initially to include some private investment (which...OK, as long as it gets built). Construction is what Trump has always stood for, so I had little belief that he would cave to the atheists totally not-Randian Christians on beautiful, tangible things.

Did Trump ever please anyone? It's ridiculous to assume that Trump will please anyone other than his own daughter, that is the one he's labelled "the beautiful one", the one he would have loved to date were she not his daughter. His other daughter, according to Trump, is so talentless that he isn't even proud of her like he is of his other children. The reason he said he was not proud of her, and this was on the morning of the election itself, was that "she had just graduated". So apparently, because she wasn't working her ass off for his selfish campaign, he felt he had no reason to be proud of her. What kind of father is that? A despicable father that all too many of us have unfortunately. A president of all people should not be proud of some of his children and not/less proud of other of his children. It's inexcusable in every way imaginable. If he can treat his own very closest family so sh**tty, how absolutely horrifically bad can't he treat the American people, or the rest of the world?

👏

Really though, all the promises he's made to his supporters seems to be vanishing before our eyes and it's only been three days since the election. He's moving the posts to appease his haters, after calling for "unity" in his first speech after winning. He is going to fail spectacularly.

I just took a look at the comments and some are already disillusioned with Trump. A couple even called him Obama in whiteface. This is going to start getting good sooner rather than later.

Trump already had to switch up his transition chair since Christie is probably about to be indicted for Bridgegate. Gingrich, Guiliani, Lewandowski, on my. While I don't agree with Kellyanne Conway's politics, I feel bad for her. I bet she doesn't last very long if she decides to stay.

It's a relief that Trump turned out to have been playing the GOP base for fools all this time. Given his long history of lying and changing his positions, perhaps this shouldn't have been so surprising.
