Was just about to post this! Seems like a step down for Gowdy but I know he hates DC. It'd be a shame for Scott to leave the Senate, though, the GOP needs more voices like his on a national stage in the Trump era

I like the idea, two friends from the House and Senate running for Gov/Lt Gov. If they work well together and aren't bigots (Tim Scott on the ticket means I'm assuming they'll at least listen to the concerns of black South Carolinians, dunno about LGBT South Carolianians), why not?

Tim Scott being the first black governor of South Carolina would be interesting in any case.
