I did a few test examples, and will reply sometime tomorrow or another day with more examples to show just how stark it is. Anybody can see it by looking at the results, but by calculating the actual difference, it is startling.

Just one comparison example between three counties in Wisconsin

Waukesha County, WI (40.2% Bachelor's degree)

Romney by 34.5%
Trump by 28.1%

Swing: D+6.4%

Winnebago County, WI (25.5% Bachelor's degree)

Obama by 3.8%
Trump by 7.5%

Swing: R+11.3%

Forest County, WI (12.2% Bachelor's degree)

Obama by 5.5%
Trump by 26.7%

Swing: R+32.2%

The state-by-state correlation between (1) percentage of adults 25+ with at least a bachelor's degree and (2) the percentage of the PV that went to Trump, is a jaw-dropping -0.835.

Not unexpected. What are the outliers? (i.e. well-educated counties swinging Trump and less-educated swinging Clinton?)

Richmond, NY, is relatively well-educated, I believe, and is an Obama-Trump county.

Furthermore, the closest to outliers of (relatively) well-educated places swinging toward Trump would have to be in the NYC area, thanks to Trump's home-state advantage.

According to http://www.decisionsciencenews.com/2016/04/15/educated-counties-us/

Every county in the Top 25 counties by percentage of people with Bachelors degrees or higher in 2014, swung HRC, and the only county in the Top 25 counties by percentage of people 25 and up with graduate or professional degrees in 2014 to not swing HRC was Story County, Iowa.
