Even with his scandals and a tough primary, Guinta only lost by 1%.

I think he's done. If he'd won his primary easily, then I'd say yes, but he did so horribly against a guy who barely raised any money. Republicans can probably find a better candidate.

PS, I didn't realize this until recently, but Carol Shea-Porter has only ever faced two Republicans in all her campaigns; Jeb Bradley and Frank Guinta. I had no idea Bradley challenged her to a rematch in 2008...

2018 will probably be a worse year for Republicans than 2016, so I don't see why he would win unless Trump somehow ends up being popular. I guess he could run as a sacrificial lamb.

No, Dan Innis should try in 2018/2020.

Guinta should never run for anything again. He's so bad I even put his opponent in my signature LOL.

He better not. A decent candidate could have taken the seat with ease.

Considering Guinta barely won the primary and then lost the general even as Trump carried the CD, no. And I don't think he would win a primary without being the incumbent. The district should remain competitive, though.

Dold is finished too, I think; unless Trump is massively popular I think that's a district that's going to be unwinnable for Republicans for the foreseeable future. Schneider should get entrenched now; kinda like NC-7 and WV-3 in 2014, I think Dold's defeat this year was a finishing blow.

Dan Innis actually won his State Senate race,  he's been elected to SD-24, lol.
