Yo, this is somewhat a question for Dave but if any of you know it that'd be very helpful.

The official results for presidential elections given by the FEC are different than what Atlas has in the Election Results pages. Not only does Atlas include more write-ins, but they also include a few more votes for the top two candidates (for ex, Gore has 50.99mil officially but 51.0mil in Atlas). Why is this the case?

Also do any of you know why Atlas chooses to include write-in votes that aren't included in official state-level tallies of the vote?

Thanks!
