She only won by 9% in a safe Southern district. Was it just for being harsh on Trump?

She wouldn't vote for Trump.  Expect her to lose a primary in 2 years.  Trumpist people are vengeful and now control the party.

God yes. I didn't know she was anti-Trump, but she'll be lumped in with the others if true.

Roby also beat an incumbent Democrat by only 2 in 2010. This is the "swingy" Alabama district. I also think the anti-Trump thing has some basis in truth - there was a huge number of write-ins in this district.

True, but most of the black precincts in Montgomery were carved out of her new district.
