[Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.]

I'm about to be very harsh because tensions are high after this election and he and I have very different accounts of who and what is to blame for the outcome. He probably deserves a fairer shake than what I'm about to give him. Having said that:

The white working class has shown some really ugly cultural attitudes (which, it can't be stressed enough, Trump has actively exacerbated--clearly there are quite a few of these people who weren't always this way, otherwise they wouldn't have voted for Obama twice)--but anybody who would respond by calling them 'stupid rubes' and explicitly conspiring to trick them into thinking their concerns are being represented has just as little place in a left-and-liberal coalition. Those kinds of sentiments can [Inks] off back to the right, where they belong. HP.
