Imagine that Kasich managed to get the Republican nomination, and he went on to beat Clinton. How would you feel about this?

Even though he seems nice and is quite possibly better than Hillary, I'd be very, very afraid that all social services would be getting cut - much more than I am now. I don't think it would be a great era, but he'd be better than most Republicans.

Terrible (sane). A Kasich administration would effectively be little more than an even more right-wing redux of the Bush II years.

Like the Republican party elected yet another RINO and nothing would change. The Republican Party doesn't need another corporatist, Obamacare lover in charge.

Fantastic! Would've effectively been a perfect scenario. As opposed to the general ambivalence I'm feeling now.

Would be slightly better than this until I recognized that the policy implications would largely be almost as bad.

I think Kasich is a much more honorable man, and he would have brought a dignity and respect to the WH that Trump could never hope to, but at this point, who cares?

It's Trump all the way, so get used to it.

Pretty bummed out, assuming the Repubs also took both houses of congress.  But I imagine Kasich would be a favorite or even money coming into eleciton day, so there'd be much, much less of a surprise factor

Is this a fair assumption?  Trump won because he inflamed the passions of the white middle class, and forced Clinton into a campaign of "SRSLY, WTF, not THIS GUY, LOL."  Kasich would have precious little enthusiasm behind him, Hillary would have been running a campaign based on her actual positions and policy proposals, and very few people would be going to the polls wondering if Clinton was a mass-murdering traitor.

Would of been bummed out but not as bad. Kasich is one of the few republicans that doesn't scare me.

Very, very excited and happy.

Since Trump won 306 electoral votes, I can only imagine Kasich's floor. Maybe 350 with this map:

That's six states Trump lost by ~5% or less going to Kasich.

The irony is you voted for an actual RINO corporate robber baron who was probably one of the biggest gators in his own swamp!
