I'm seeing no talk about who might replace Reince as RNC Chair now that he is Chief of Staff.

There's some chatter around Ronna Romney McDaniel, Mitt Romney's niece.

That's all I've heard, but it's not surprising that I've heard her name before hearing anyone else's.

Might Matt Borges, the highly successful OH GOP Chair, try for it? If not, I could see Jared Kushner trying to get it. If anyone is highly polished enough for it in the Trump wing, it would be Kushner.

Borges would be perfect, so it'll probably go to Lewandowksi instead.

I doubt Bannon would allow anyone connected to the Romneys or the former center-right establishment to take the spot.

I think I know a guy who is virtually unknown by the press and yet connected more or less to everyone. I think he's a serious candidate for the RNC one day. I'm convinced that is his main career goal. Good dude.

Oh and this election? I dunno. I think Newt is better suited for this than the cabinet.

Matt Pinnell now looks like the favorite to replace Priebus. He's the state party director.

I remember there was a time party chairmen frequently served in the cabinet concurrently as Postmaster General (basically a sinecure). It certainly won't work with such a full-time job as Chief of Staff, though.

DAMN YOU NIXON FOR ABOLISHING THE DEPARTMENT OF POST!

Anyway, Christie is out, and the two leading candidates are Michigan GOP chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel and Pence aide Nick Ayers.

Considering the relative success of the RNC under Reince, they should probably listen to him

Second source confirms that Ronna Romney McDaniel will be at the rally with Trump in Grand Rapids tonight. 95% certain she'll be RNC chair.

The Republicans have had great down ballot success in Michigan so she's a great pick to keep the RNC more competence than their DNC counterparts
