Barack Obama is just too unique to have an obvious analogue. The most similar President I see to him is Dwight Eisenhower/

What matters most will be that the Republicans will allow a free and fair election in 2020. People who believe that their unrestrained greed is the highest purpose in political and economic life and hold the power to inflict and enforce such generally do not yield power except out of fear of the guillotine or firing squad.

The Republicans need to find someone with an Obama-like character. All that kept Obama from being a fine conservative President was that he wasn't a political conservative.

All Presidents are sui generis. Such is so true that I see Dwight Eisenhower, despite huge dissimilarities in curricula vitae and a sixteen-year difference in age, as most similar in temperament and effectiveness as President. Someone has to be most similar to Obama! Just look at an overlay between Obama and Eisenhower elections. They won much the same states despite being in different Parties. Add to this, one almost never sees anyone praising one and not the other as President.
