Schilling wants to challenge Elizabeth Warren in 2018. Does he even have a chance of winning?

He doesn't even have a chance of making it out of the primary, let alone beating her.

Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

Unless no one else wants to challenge her. There are no more Scott Browns, and Baker's already Governor. Who can actually challenge Warren at this point?

Trump won the MA primary, and Schilling is in his vein. He also has crazy name ID. I wouldn't be sure he doesn't get the nom.

I think that this seat is Warren's for as long as she wants it.

I don't think even MA Republicans are known for social views that are more in line with rural Georgia Southern Baptists than Northeasterners.

If the MA GOP wants to put up a sacrificial lamb against Warren, it should come up with a better/more sane one.

Schilling will definitely win the primary, he is making almost daily rounds on WRKO, which has all the big talk hosts in MA like Howie Carr and Jeff Kuhner. He is very very popular amongst Trumpists.

Curt Schilling wins that seat when Tom Green wins the Best Actor Oscar.

Schilling is a loon. I would like Charlie Baker, Mitt Romney, or Bill Weld to run in 2018.

He has NO chance in the general. But he can totally win a primary. Name recognition and popularity with the crazies can get you far in a primary.

He might win the primary, but he'll get cooked in the general.

No, though Warren does have middling approval ratings, Schilling is far too socially conservative to capitalize

Not enough people remember that ground zero of the school busing fight was working class Boston and the suburbs. The MA GOP is absolutely Trump territory.

I still think that Warren will win the general though.

Baker/Brown type candidates wouldn't be able to beat Warren anyway.

Schilling has no chance. Regardless of Republican nominee, Warren will easily win.

No. And I'm concerned a Senate candidacy would manage to torpedo Baker.

All the people immediately saying he has no chance are totally ignoring the fact that they said the exact thing about Donald Trump....but look who the president elect is.
Now, do I think it is probable that he wins, no, but there is always a chance.
