It appears Essex County, Vermont, not only went for Trump, but also voted against Leahy in favor of Milne.

This is the first time since 1992 Leahy lost any county (Caledonia going to Jim Douglas).

Well Milne was a decent candidate (almost won Governor in 2014), considering he had no chance to win.

It's always been kind of disconnected from the rest of Vermont, and it's not part of the Birkenstock Belt, which was the only large rural part of New England that went for Clinton. It's kind of an extension of ME-02.
