Speaking tour, writing her memoirs, corporate boards, lecturing and teaching, running for some political office in 2018, planning her next Presidential run for 2020, having a peaceful retirement enjoying her grandchildren and doing things she never had time to because of her busy public life?

What do you think?

No more running for office.  Likely continuing to make a sh**tload of money, travel, see friends/family on a more consistent basis, writing, teaching, advising, all that crap for a another decade or so, until she becomes elderly and begins to gradually slip away.

Running the poor man's Carter Center known as the Clinton Foundation, enjoying a psuedo-revival in popularity little different from Carter.

People won't understand WTH The Midwest were thinking with hindsight.

She will give many Wall Street Speeches & get paid a lot - Would write a book maybe!

She will run for the Presidency in 2020 - I am 90% convinced, she believes the WH is hers, blames Comey, will play up the popular vote, feels she is entitled to the WH. Waiting for Hillary 2020 run!

She should retire.

And spend her time as a grandmother, going on walks and hiking through the woods.

Would do her well.

Book writing, traveling, generally living life like any other normal person.
She deserves to live a normal life after all of the bullsh**t she had to endure during the campaign.

don't run again in office for a country which clearly doesn't want or deserve her abilities and do something she maybe has forgotten since at least 2000....have fun.

Retirement.

She looked cooked in her first interview back.

Retirement, speeches, books, memoirs, etc

Her days as a political candidate (especially for President) are over. She's already 69 years old, with dubious health; and 4 years will only worsen that issue. Many people thought she wouldn't even run in 2016 because of her age, in fact.

Family life, write books, speeches and some work at the foundation. She won’t seek office anymore.

Look, after almost every election there's a talk about "a second chance", but it never happens. Remember Romney 2016 hype? Kerry himself hinted at 2008 do-over. Gore was believed to be certain to run in 2004, then 2008. Humphrey attempted to get the 1972 nomination. There was a serious "draft Ford" movement in 1976. Hell, even Dukakis wasn't "ruling out" 1992.

Notable exceptions post-Stevenson I can think of are Dole, McCain (too old) or Mondale, Goldwater (not after such a devastating loss). McGovern did briefly contested the 1984 primary, but it was more of the last hurrah.

As of Hillary for all her being very ambitious (as the admirers or neutrals would say) or "power list" (as the opponents would say) I honestly can't see her going through this again. Her only general election races before 2016 were two Senate runs, that were but a launching pods. Then she first lost the primary she was supposed to win and now she lost to Trump in the biggest upset possible. I think she got the memo.

And I don't see her being actually prosecuted. Trump doesn't want to create a precedent of a losing candidate being prosecuted under a winner.

Her endorsement will carry weight in 2020 if she makes one, like Kerry's did in 2008. That's about it, I think.

It is not about 2020, it is about early 2019. You have to announce your run by 1st half 2019. Realistically anyone planning to run for 2020 has to start planning after the mid-terms.

Trust me 2 years is nothing - Hillary will rest & in 2 years start preparing to announce another run!

She'll focus on the Clinton Foundation. While a Gore run in 2004/2008 made sense, Clinton is older and unlikely to regain much popularity, and she probably knows that.

I think emotionally getting through the realization that she will never be president is hard for her but after the toll the campaign took on her health and image I doubt she wants to run again when her party won't be as willing to clear the field for her. I think speaking engagements and doing world photo-op tours are what she will be doing for the next 5-10 years

This.

If she runs, she wouldn't even make it through the primaries. She struggled with Bernard this time; no chance against someone like Kamala Harris or Martin Heinrich. No way. And the American people are sick and tired of the Clintons.

I think she should follow my step-dad's path and become an unhinged left wing internet troll in their retirement.

Obama will either still be young enough to be on SCOTUS when the Ds return to the White House (58 or 62) or he will run for Governor of Illinois against Rauner or he will become a troll as he has veiledly threatened.

She'll be fine.  The fact that she lost an eminently winnable race against a demagogue will weigh on her, but otherwise, she has a great life.  I wish her the best.
