Was elected in a time in which most Blue Dogs were getting ousted. Made staunchly Republican areas of Louisiana competitive. Edwards contested parishes that Democrats hadn't even dared to visit since Katrina.

Also, a damn fine speaker with a folksy sense of humor. He isn't boring like Manchin, or bloodthirsty like Webb. Watch one of his speeches sometime, he just has a way of working a crowd.

I think he's a perfectly good Governor of Louisiana, but he's not my ideal President by a longshot. I am aware that your political views are different from mine and therefore you'll disagree.
