How would a Hillary Clinton presidency have been right now if the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee was elected president?

How would it have been with a Democratic Senate and Democratic House?

How would it have been with a Democratic Senate and a Republican House?

How would it have been with a Republican Senate and a Republican House?

Are you sure about that?  I'm pretty sure Jason Chaffetz would be in her face every day, and Republicans would be agitating for impeachment even if they found nothing.

With a GOP House/Senate (or just one of those), it would be a continuation of Obama's last 6 years.

With a Democratic House/Senate, they'd have at least done some infrastructure, raised minimum wage, had paid leave, and would have picked and passed their first major initiative so far (probably immigration reform). And would have been more consistent on Syria.

In all likelihood there would be impeachment proceedings going on over the emails, considering Republicans were already threatening to do so months before the election.

There'd be a lot of conservative resistance to her, but things would be significantly more "normal" than they are right now...

I wouldn't be so sure. Hillary Clinton is hated by fbi people, and there were reports of widespread disgust in the bureau when comey let her off. I think her WH would have a leaker issue, although not nearly as bad as current.

You seem to b**tch more about a candidate who lost an election (and is far closer, presumably, to your side of the ideological spectrum) than you do about the man who is polar opposite your supposed views. Huh.

Hillary wasn't close at all to me, and she'd be damaging the left so much as President. 2018 would be an absolute bloodbath under her.

The number of mass shootings would rise in place of the college riots.

Her approvals would likely be in the low 50's, but there'd be a far greater conservative resistance [since they seem to have much more spine] that'd successfully have routed all the SC Nominees thrown their way. But she would have gotten stuff done and likely been consigned to a Ford-esque sort of tenure.

Collins would NOT be the reverse Joe Manchin as hoped in such a case.

And Tim Kaine would be invisible.

December 2016 - Clinton draws criticism for her appointment of Assata Shakur to the National Security Council. She later admits she didn't understand the full implication of the appointment, and removes her.
January 27th, 2017 - Clinton issues the "Equal Pay for Equal Work" executive order, preventing any employer with a female on their payroll from leaving their place of work until such time that all their female employees are given 30% raises. The order is quickly struck down by the courts.
February 13th, 2017 - Clinton's National Security Advisor, Jill Stein, is forced to resign after it is revealed she lied to Vice President Kaine about her ties to the Russian government.
March 4th, 2017 - Clinton raises eyebrows after posting on Twitter that President Obama used to watch her in her house in Chappaqua through binoculars while hiding in a nearby tree.
April 7th, 2017 - Clinton receives praise for her bombing of a Syrian government airbase. She later goes on to use a Massive Ordinance Air Burst (MOAB) against terrorists in Afghanistan.
May 9th, 2017 - Uproar in Washington after Clinton fires FBI Director Elijah Cummings. Clinton is reported to have stated to Cummings at a private dinner "I hope you'll drop this whole Benghazi thing."
May 15th, 2017 - The Washington Post reports Clinton discussed highly classified intelligence with Saudi Arabian officials visiting the White House.

It would be a trainwreck that's only partially the fault of the conductor rather than the Chernobyl that we're living through.

Anyone not named Bernie Sanders is a neoliberal warmongering corporatist Third Way DLC DINO, according to the bubble in which jfern resides. It's "sad!" Jfern is as much of a progressive as Sarah Palin is an intellectual.

The logic that one who opposes Hillary must be a purity troll who opposes anyone is so incredibly vapid. It's sad that you can't realize what a toxic candidate Hillary is. Trump was only the second least popular major party nominee in (polled) history thanks to her.

With a Democratic House and Senate? Pretty good, actually. Be able to pass a higher minimum wage, an ACA patch, maybe an infrastructure or immigration bill in the works...2018 might be horrible or the Dems could just lose some Senate seats. Depends if the economy goes to hell before or after that point. Still, she has an uphill climb for reelection. By this point, most her nominees would be confirmed and she'd be in an okay position, maybe 51-44 approval rating.

With a Republican House and Democratic Senate? She'd get her appointments through (barely), but other than that, it's not looking too good. Republicans will obstruct and 2018 will likely be a bloodbath. The Democratic Party will be very weak going into 2020 and she'd probably lose.

With a Republican House and Senate? Not good! Appointments get stalled, nothing gets done, 2018 is an Armageddon for Democrats, Hillary virtually guranteed to lose in 2020.

Glorious with sunshine lollipops and rainbows.

The dogfight over the Clinton Foundation and Benghazi and emails would be miserable, but it would be so much nicer and easier to have a competent (not lying dumb sack of garbage man-baby loser) president behind the big desk.
