I have noticed in places like Detroit, Cleveland, Newark NJ, Camden NJ, Atlantic City,NJ and Hispanic urban areas in northern NJ there was a slight swing towards Trump. Is this attributed to lower African American turnout, low Hispanic turnout, or a slight uptick in support for Trump among minorities?

Newark NJ went from 4.7 Republican in 2012 to 6.7 percent Republican 2016.
Union city NJ heavily hispanic went from 82 percent Democrat to 78 percent democrat from 17.2 in 2008 republican to 18.5 Republican in 2016
Paterson NJ went from 93.6 democrat in 2012 to 89.5 dem in 2016. 6.1 percent GOP 2012 to 8.9 percent GOP 2016

Atlantic city NJ from 86 percent dem in 2012 to to 80 percent dem in 2016 . 13.4 GOP in 2012 to 17.3 in 2016

Detroit went from 98 percent dem in 2012 to 96 percent dem in 2016

Let's discuss this

African American turnout was almost certainly down. Precinct data will help confirm this once it comes out.
