OK, so....

....now that this election is over and done with, I'm looking ahead to 2017.  At present, I'm mulling over a possible run for town council in my area of CT, as municipal elections are next year.  Still have to iron out a few things, but I'm about 85-90 percent sure that I'm going to go for it.  So saying...."vote for me"! Cheesy

Just a quickie update on the state of my campaign.

I've been mega-busy lately, but I am making the rounds and speaking to people about my race.  It will probably be a bit tough to win, because I have to beat two Democratic incumbents in my district.  However, with the support of a good friend of mine who's running for re-election in the Fairfield 6th, and assistance from a great staff I'm putting together, I believe I will have a decent chance.  BTW, mds32, if you'd still like to donate, I'll send you my contact info so you know where to send that check to.  As always, more to come.  Smiley

It's ballsy for you to so nakedly express interest in running for office on a forum.

Campaign Update.....

....unfortunately, I find myself in the position of having to suspend my campaign.  I'd like to keep going, but I just have no time for the whole "shaking hands and kissing babies" thing right now.  Add to that the fact that my campaign is incredibly disorganized right now, and there you go.  The idea "looked good on paper" I suppose....oh well.  There will be other races.  :: sighs ::

Thanks to all of you who expressed support, I appreciate it.  The future is bright.  Smiley

I figure that if you're going to do something, go big.  Nobody ever got anywhere by half-assing it.  Smiley
