Oh those are harmless.  Grasshoppers, dragon flies, etc.  They're the ones eating the more dangerous insects.  Still.. having a dragonfly land on your face is a little bit alarming.

I'm pretty typical.  Fuzzy wuzzy things are cute.  Slimy, hairless, crawly things can DIAF.

I'm ok with spiders.  I once had a teacher who was deathly afraid of them, so when I borrowed her iPad, I left an image of a huge, scary spider on the screen.  She didn't check it until after getting up in the middle of the night.

What the hell is that thing being consumed by the starfish?  It looks like an electric razor or something.

The corrupt two party duopoly that brainwashed a nation into believing there is only two valid choices. When will we learn that they only want power!?!? I don't know, but it keeps me up at night.

^^^^
I have a vague emotional attachment to my dog because we've had him since I was in the first grade. He's so old now, and he seems weaker than ever. Other than Shadow (we named him that because he's a Golden Retriever trained to follow my autistic younger brother who looks like the dog from Homeward Bound, which was my brother's favorite movie for years), I have no attachment to animals.

When I step out onto the street to have a cigarette outside my apartment, I often see my neighbors walking their dogs and I absolutely hate when they start sniffing me and clawing at my pants. I of course maintain the politeness required and always give a pet, smile and go "hey boy" or something to that effect, but to be truthful, inside I just can't stand it. It's like nails on a chalkboard.

Of course, that is my hangup. I just never liked animals. I think they are dirty and they require more effort than I find to be worth. I guess I'm the same way with animals that many people are to the idea of having children: doesn't appeal to me. On the other hand, I don't mind small children at all. I have two baby cousins who I'd literally allow to throw my phone off the stairs if it entertained them. I never really noticed this until now. Kind of a weird contrast.

I have the strangest, irrational fear of jellyfish.

Botfly larvae are also terrifying.
