Booker/Newsom or Newsom/Booker, but also

She'd have to wait until a few months into her term to take office, but that didn't stop Rush Holt Senior!

Does it catch anyone else off how contradictory that title is "urban and elitist" seriously nothing quite says "elitist" than "urban" areas

Yeah I felt the same way, but it is a stereotype. Would have been better titled urban-elites. Or just elites.

Yeah I felt the same way, but it is a stereotype. Would have been better titled urban-elites. Or just elites.

There are rural elites, but in rural America, the separation between the richest and the least is not as pronounced.  Rural elites can often be seen around town, often send their kids to the local public school, and have a decent amount of contact with the average person.  Urban elites are far more sheltered in enclaves, far more separated into private communities, with their kids almost always attending private schools.  Given the realities of much of urban life, I don't condemn them for doing that, but it does explain why rural folk view the elites in their midst differently.

They don't have an urban, elitist image.  They have an urban, oblivious image.

Democrats call themselves elitists way more than any Republican does.

You can still be 'urban elitist' and still win middle America just look at Obama & Trump.

I don't really know how we proceed into the future when education makes someone a member of the dreaded "elite," yet it also makes them more likely to be correct.
