You can't prosecute someone when you have no case. The President going down the rabbit hole of prosecuting an opponent is more detrimental to the President than anyone else. People not only without the privilege of skin color or wealth, but people without the privilege of American citizenship, and a vote by which to exercise their gratitude. Rarely in human history, have a group of people been so punished, for doing so much good (and I don't mean the Clintons).

The wall will need his full attention. Plus, I'm not comfortable with the idea of locking up a political opponent until it is evidently clear that they are no longer politically viable. As long as Clinton can talk up a comeback in 2020 (she won't, I know, but the usual suspects will claim she is a potential candidate in 2020 to paint Trump as some Putin-esque strongman), she's not worth going after.

In 2021 when President Trump is returned to office, we can deal with her. Assuming Trump seeks a second term to begin with. I have a feeling he'll complete his core goals and hand the keys over to Pence.
