This reading of things is a bit too Freudo-Marxist and not Marxist-Marxist enough for me, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's wrong. The age at marriage thing feels like a stretch. I hope New York and California don't go full 'persecuted metropole', especially considering that Trump is a creature of the worst excesses of the New York power elite.

Almost more Freud than Marx. My attempt at humor was a kind of sexualized fecal throw at the future the OP talked about. It seems that talking about people voting based on the fears of being considered gay or what have you seems to be a major vehicle for turning out the vote in states that are dominated by "rural" industries. The word "pussy" flys around a lot out there. People "ride bitch" when they have to sit in the middle of the pickup truck. Makes a lot of sense when you are on the ground for a while.
