Neither faction will win. The coastal elites in finance, technology, and entertainment will decide that their time is better spent trying influencing the Donald Trump regime and the activist scenes which fueled Bernie Sanders' campaign, Black Lives Matter, and the various other recent leftist movements will be driven underground by government repression. The Democratic Party will no longer be relevant in a few years time.
