If Corker becomes Secretary of State, who will Haslam pick to replace Corker?

One of the state's 7 member congressional delegation. I see Marsha Blackburn being a real possibility of being appointed, but she's too conservative to keep the seat non-competitive.

Maybe Marsha Blackburn or Diane Black.

Bill Frist, Randy McNally, and Beth Harwell are the three most likely nominees.

Please name one Democrat who would have a non-zero chance of beating Blackburn.

Bill Frist? Would he consider running again if Haslam appoints him? Would Haslam himself run?

I could see Frist as a "placeholder" till an election for the seat happens.

Jim Cooper, Phil Bredesen, and Mike McWherter. Besides them and the fact that none of them would both run AND get national funding, I should clarify I assume you don't literally mean "non-zero".

If he does, that means one more vote to keep Obamacare.

Frist doesn't want to repeal Obamacare? Not even certain parts, like the mandate?

Is Haslam not permitted to appoint himself under Tennessee law? I think that's been done in the past elsewhere.

Bredesen was a very popular Governor when he left office in 2010 but Politics has changed a lot since 2010(political polarization) I think and I started following politics in 2009. I think the 24/7 news cycle is more mainstream than it was in 2010.

Bredesen had a chance to challenge Corker in 2012 but he passed since him and Corker are good friends I think.

Cooper-He had his chance in 1993 vs the late Fred Thompson in a Special Election to replace Al Gore but he didn't win.

I have a better idea, a top four +3% jungle primary where four candidates plus any other candidates who receive at least 3% of the vote (if there are any). This means there are 4, or maybe even 5 or 6 candidates in November; possibly even some third-party candidates.

Yeah, like Joe Manchin in 2010.

Blackburn seems quite smart and articulate, and the Pubs need more women around in general.

Yeah, like Joe Manchin in 2010.
Manchin wasn't the placeholder, it was Carte Goodwin.

He's saying that Joe Manchin appointed a placeholder so he could run.

The Republican bench in this state is so strong that Haslam would struggle to find a bad choice (The ACU ranks us as having by far the most conservative state government and our US Reps are pretty good too).  If Corker gets the position, I will be excited for whoever his replacement is!
