It seems Hillary Clinton's loss this November has proven more galvanizing for women than her victory might have been:

Hopes for a female president dashed, women take running for office into their own hands

Amongst my friends who are millenials, Trump's victory has politically motivated them far more than any other event I've seen in my life

Trump is s phyrric victory ....the present day GOP is making a generation of enemies

With the 2 most unpopular candidates in the modern polling era if not ever, there's a good chance it would be a pyrrhic victory either way.

I was worried whether Hillary's defeat would made it more difficult for women candidates. Good to see the opposite Smiley

More women in politics.

Great news.

I witnessed the first female PM in Australia get torn to shreds.

It's an extra difficult role, but an important one for women to aspire to.

Or what is happening in ROK or Brazil, where they both went down in flames for (((stuff))).

Not to rain on your parade, but how many of your friends are not in/on track for college?

This may be your most astute analysis I have ever seen.

I wish it wasn't a candidate losing that motivated them, but taking a look a the state of our country and gaining a desire to make change instead of wait for it.

One has now implied the other.

I would love it if 4 years after hillary lost we had a woman president who is not hillary.

Good. Hopefully this also finally shows Democrats that the biggest issues occur locally (schools, roads, voting rights, jobs, etc). It's time Democrats embraced federalism again like Republicans have successfully done for decades.

Let's see, a strong woman runs for President (win or lose) and that inspires other women to run.  I'm stunned.
