1. A business man in the White House instead of a community organizer.  Expect better organization of all things related to the executive branch.

2. Leadership--Obama passed 1 thing piece of significant legislation in his 2 terms, and it is acknowledged by both sides to be a disaster that will be significantly changed now that Trump and the Republicans are in place.

3. A return to a position of strength and leadership in the world.   It's unlikely that Putin annexes anymore of Ukraine or other Eastern European countries under Trump's watch.

4.  Real borders.  Like real grown-up countries have.

5.  An end to the politics of divisiveness.   After 8 years of the first black president, race riots at the end of his terms were higher than they'd been in 40 years.  Trump will be about treating people as Americans, not hyphenated Americans who define their politics based based on their racial or sexual identity.

The Democrat party might now be saved which was on the verge of ruin thanks to the Clinton's & Obama.

And we don't have a Clinton presidency. That is about it. Now deal with the ridiculousness of a Trump presidency.

Oh & it is good to see Clinton fans feeling embarrassed & dejected in here!

1. Yeah like any businessman is any perfect. Plus, his business record reeks corporate corruption. Corruption is the last thing anyone wants.

2. I can also argue that the repeal of DADT was just as good as Obamacare. There's plenty more of what Obama did right too, but I can go all day.

3. Well maybe Russia might be toned down only because Trump and Putin are buddies. However that doesn't mean China or some other Muslim country like Iran would be bolstered. Especially since Trump wants to start a trade war with China.

4. Let me cross the Canadian border or Mexican border and let me see what happens. If I don't go to jail then you're right, we don't have real borders.

5. Hell no.

These negative and petulant comments by the losing side in this election against the very insightful and timely observations by the OP show that the Democrats and other malcontents cannot accept any comments about the positivity of a Trump Presidency.

Well get used to it.  We're running things now.  And we will straighten out the mess left by Obama and his inept administration.

Another point I will make about the positive aspects of a Trump Presidency is that we will now be getting Supreme Court Justices who will respect and honor the constitution.  We now have the opportunity to be in control of the Supreme Court for a generation.

Trump Presidency = Better Than Another Clinton Presidency

1. Government is not a business and should not be run like one. Arnie Schwarzenjammer took that approach and made a mess in California.

2. Obama got thousands of people off of the uninsured roll and onto insurance. Trump reversing that and throwing people off their insurance would be a disaster that would not equal leadership.

3. A man who rants on Twitter can't handle foreign affairs. If he continues his insanity, the world might respect this country less than it did after Bush.

4. Nothing will change there. That wall and all that other talk was hot air. No one who hires undocumented workers is going to do a thing about immigration.

5. Did you not see the campaign he ran? What about his past history of not renting to people based on race? Don't be delusional.

#5 was probably the most hilarious listed there.

That's why I responded with only 2 words with that one, and not 1 or 2 sentences.

The best thing to come from the Trump presidency will be the cementing of the Obama's legacy as one of the best Presidents in the modern era. Sandwiched between two terrible Republicans.

1. Something in between would be nice.

2. The absence of gridlock will be a nice change. I just hope that Republicans will be magnanimous with their majority and not blow it over foolish issues.

3. I hope Trump's weariness to intervene in unimportant foreign conflicts is not undermined by neocons and hawks. Being trillions of dollars in debt, defending Latvia is not our priority when it cannot even live up to its end of the defense bargain by meeting the budgetary minimum for military spending laid down in the terms of NATO. Let the all-knowing Empress of Europe, Angela Merkel, protect them.

4. Yes, and I hope that Jeff Sessions sees to it that Trump does not moderate his position on this issue because Ryan and others will be seeking to soften it wherever possible. E-verify needs to be enforced rigorously, and those who hire illegals should be severely punished. If nothing else, he needs to suspend (hopefully indefinitely) immigration from benighted tinderboxes like Yemen, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Somalia, and other countries. Immigration is not a human right and should only be used to benefit our country. That more than half of immigrants are on welfare is appalling. We have enough people who need assistance as it is, why import more? It is furthermore folly to bring in populations with a history of serious adjustment problems to Western culture. It is not PC to say, but it is the truth.

5. Indeed. Trump is a breath of fresh air in this respect since the Democratic Party loves sectional politics and the GOP (like the Democrats before them) has a sordid history of exploiting racial and anti-gay animus for political gain.

These sort of declarations usually end up be incredibly wrong. 2018 might not be so pleasant for you if Trump continues to act like a total loon.

Republicans need to be careful not to have an "I won" moment and actually try to govern for everybody. We need less partisanship in governance.

The GOP establishment must also not make the mistake of confounding a mandate for Trump with a mandate for Republicans more generally. If Republicans try to thwart Trump from pursuing those policies at odds with traditional GOP orthodoxy, it will not go over well with supporters. That I can tell you.

1. Like he ran several of his businesses? Casinos? Trump “University”? (ah, I forgot, he would have won the trial) Trump Airline? Trump Steaks? Just bankruptcy or a fraud as well? I’d agree that a real successful businessman could do that. Mr. Drumpf? Not so much.

2. You forgot the entire economic recovery program and the fact, that he was obstructed like no president before him. Leadership? He took out bin Laden, negotiated the Iran Deal and the Climate Accord. No scandals in his administration. So blame this on President Obama’s leadership. Mr. Drumpf’s leadership? Fraud, corruption, conflicts of interest? Bullying? Insults? That is presidential leadership? Try again.

3. Well, I guess our position in the world today is much better than eight years ago.

4. Besides that there is already a border. I have to disappoint you: the wall won’t be built for practical reasons.

5. What??? Like his campaign unified the country? Give me a break.

So, no, there is nothing positive about the Trumpster’s triumph. Obama was not perfect, even without GOP obstruction, but there’s nothing going to change for the better with the outcome of this election. Just hope Dems get their act together and sweep back in 2020. In the best case, it will be four lost years, with, hopefully, a small number of good legislation such as an infrastructure bill.

1. The Democrats retaking the House of Representatives.
2. The Democrats retaking a majority of the nation's governorships.
3. The Democrats retaking a majority of state legislatures and redrawing the lines more equitably after the 2020 census.
4. The Democrats retaking the Senate.
5. The election of a liberal President in 2020.

If he can just secure the border, enforce existing immigration laws (yes, that means deporting illegals), and avoid starting more wars in the Middle East, I'll be content.

I just pray that Trump can be his own man and not bow to the likes of Ryan (with whom I have a love-hate relationship), the vampiric neocons, and the open-borders lobby.

And I will flip my lid if he picks Romney for SoS. We need not encourage Russia's delusions of grandeur by appointing the man who deems the country to be our foremost geopolitical foe.
