that is a very negative way to look at it man.  Most sex doesn't carry any negative externalities.  If you do it bad, with the wrong person or stupidly then sure, occasionally that will bite you in the ass.  So don't do it stupidly (use protection and other precautions) or with the wrong person.  You might not know who the "wrong person" is, but everybody around you will and hopefully will clue you in.
