If there is a general buyers remorse feeling in the air than yes he should go for it. Also I thi he'd be a great vp for a Booker type candidate so washing away these two senate loses would be good

He needs another track to take off. Johnson's seat (his bygone senate seat) has been exhausting for him.

I'm not sure Scott Walker will run for Governor in 2018.

I doubt Feingold runs for governor after this loss, but if Democrats can't find another credible candidate he may be pressured to consider. Feingold must be kicking himself that he didn't run for Senate in 2012, though. If he ran then, Baldwin likely wouldn't have challenged him in the primary, and since 2012 was a good year for Democrats and Tommy Thompson was a weak opponent, Feingold likely would be a Senator today had he run 4 years ago.

I too remember hearing for the last 18 months how Wisconsin was safely in place with Illinois as being likely to swing (in fact Kirk was seen as a stronger candidate than Johnson)

Feingold blew it because his negatives got inflated; not only is his profile not really a fit for Governor but he hasn't won an election since 2004
