All presidents travel the country, and I believe all modern presidents apart from Dubya (who never went to Vermont) make a point to visit all 50 states while they are president. So far as I can tell, there is basically no major city in the country which is enthusiastic about a Trump presidency. Obviously this raises questions about his safety as he travels to places where millions of people hate his guts. We're already seeing this at Trump Tower, and I suspect we'll see it when he moves to DC.

But what I'm curious about is how it will look to have protests literally everywhere Trump goes. Will he manage to keep a similar profile as he did during the campaign with supporters and opponents all showing up to his appearances together? What will happen the first time he needs to go somewhere like San Francisco or Chicago? Will he try to avoid major cities altogether and only hold rallies in the countryside?

I don't see 4 years of continuous protest to be sustainable.

My recollection of  Dubya's last years were there were always protestors every where he went but they were kept a distance from whatever venue he was speaking at.

I'm sure it will be the same with The Donald.
