Or Kennedy could jump into a race she could actually win. Either one would be preferable to Cuomo.

We've had enough Kennedy's. I don't want the one in Illinois to win, and Caroline Winning wouldn't be right either.

I feel like Cuomo will get his third term without too much of a fight, but hey stranger things have happened (like this year's election).

GOP ain't winning without Gibson I think. He'd of probably lost but would of had a fighting chance at least.

I could see Peter King jumping in at the last minute. He'd probably lose, but Cuomo does draw a serious primary challenge, a King vs Cuomo race could be competitive.

If New York Rep. Pete King became bored from being in a dysfunctional and incompetent Congress, he could run for Governor and make it interesting. However, he may not want to leave a fairly safe seat.

King certainly would make the race interesting, especially if Democrats have a bitter primary, but Democrats have a strong potential candidate for his seat in Steve Bellone {the Suffolk County Executive}, who probably would jump in if King tries to run for Governor [Or Senate against Gillibrand, which is less likely].
