Even if the actual percentage of people who don't want the law repealed is closer to 50%, it just proves that Americans don't know what they want, and don't know why they vote for the candidates that they vote for. We have the most uninformed (and, frankly, apathetic to that fact) voting populous we've had in decades, maybe ever.

Ignorance is bliss.
