Considering this is coming from the same party that has a Senator who claimed, on the senate floor, that global warming is a myth because "God controls the climate," I'm thoroughly unsurprised. Arctic Sea Ice is at record low levels, Arctic temperatures have been considerably above normal thus far, the polar ice caps continue to melt, the world continues to have "hottest month/year on record," and we're undergoing one of the world's largest mass extinctions, yet because it still gets cold enough to snow in winter, then obviously it's all just a myth. So much for those know-it-all scientists!

The old flat earth myth. The reason Columbus has trouble getting anyone to fund his voyage until Ferdinand and Isabella needed something to divert the energies that had been used in the reconquestia once Grenada fell in 1492, wasn't that they though the earth was flat. Rather it was that they thought the Earth was considerably bigger than Columbus thought it was. They were correct that it was impossible to sail west to China, as it was too far to go using the technology of the day. What no one considered was the wild card of there being land in-between Europe and China.

The point of the article is that the drop in temperature since the summer is the largest on record, and that this suggests a bigger El Niño effect on the record high temps of the past couple years. Doesn't disprove global warming, and there's some controversy about the accuracy of the article, but it's not just "gee it's colder now than it was earlier this year."

You're on a rampage!  Lobotomze the "Deniers", kick out all the brown people "cuz Trump is right on immigration"....

The point was the impressive drop in global temperature anomalies over land...and according to our models...those anomalies should actually be higher in the northern hemispheric winter because it has more land and global warmng has increased water vapor which keeps it warmer at night and in the winter.

So, if you want to argue about how baseless this argument is...stick to the fact that they are only taking land into account.  They left out 70% of the earth, which is still quite warm.
