Brexit was a mild upset.
Trump's victory was the greatest comeback since Jesus rose from the dead.

honestly i thought both would happen. but i had more doubts on brexit. i knew there was a backlash developing thanks to the migrants and all that but i was unclear whether my instincts were right early on. after that i trusted my gut a bit more.

Brexit.... support for Clinton was clearly starting to erode in the final weeks, while support for the Leave camp was in fact starting to erode in Britain.

The UK vote to leave the european union wasn't particularly surprising.  The Donald defeating Hillary Clinton was surprising.  Most surprising to me was the fact he won the GOP nomination in the first place.  Immediately after the first debate, back in August of 2015, I concluded that he had made such a great fool of himself he could not possibly be nominated.  I guess it was a weak field.

Mostly, it was a weak electorate.
