For the life of me, I don't understand how conservatives can love Russia but hate China. Russia and China are the firmest allies of each other, equally underhanded despotic anti-American regimes, but China is not militarily endangering us the way Russia clearly is. Yes, China clearly endangers our Asian allies -- but so does Russia with our European ones, and the right wingers voice little concern over them. Do they hate China for being non-white? For taking their jobs?
China is viewed as a potential superpower and rising, and so many people, the stereotype of them being more intelligent is threatening, and more ideologically different. Race probably does play some role too.

With the racist idiot you elected, anything is possible.

3-17 days of fighting before the PRC surrenders.  Depends on how long they want to get their ass handed to them.
It would be the other way around.

Ahahahaha.

China will not be defeating the US dear deluded Jerry.
Never underestimate the might of those against you.  It always leads to failure.

There's a difference between underestimating and understanding that with absolutely no power projection the PLC will be at the mercy of the US and not the other way around.

The Donald is, and will always be, superior in his mouth and inferior in his body actions.
In addition, the Chinese Government are very cautious. They will just point the finger to the narrowly recognized Taiwanese autonomous government ('The Republic of China') and Vietnam et al.
Total extragalactic dream at all.

I can't imagine it would be much worse than the 2nd Taiwan Strait Crisis in the 50s unless Trump is actually rooting for full-scale war.

Depends on what it takes to get them to forgive the hundreds of millions he owes them.

The implications and questions that come from a full-scale war would be pretty massive. How long it is, how does it affect thr CCP and the politics of other Asian countries, would a Trump-started war even have the possibility of getting broad support from the American people, the situation of Asian-Americans, especially Chinese-Americans, etc.

I can't see it happening for a bunch of reasons, but I agree beet that the war wouldn't be short. Though even a short war would probably have more effects on the world than any event in recent memory.
