I picked up the National Inquirer today and it was unbelievably partisan.  They should just call it the Republican Inquirer.  Most people think its trash and it is, but it does have some influence, along with the Globe, because they're right there at the checkout counter-- and you are waiting for the person in front of you to finish and they do grab your attention.. but i was just amazed at the rhetoric in them, it's like something you'd see maybe in Russia, not America.

This is the kind of journalism we're talking about.   Bush on cocaine?  I'm a Democrat and I think that's outrageously offensive.

It's not offensive, it's entertaining. My personal favorite has been the bi-monthly reports of Cher and Chaz Bono's deathbed fight.

Since I do the shopping each week (because I'm the cook), I should pay more attention to these rags I suppose.  I just never read them....but the yentas grab 'em up like there's no tomorrow.

As noted, I think their equal opportunity slimeballs rather than pubs.

Yeah they tend to make sh** up about whoever's in power.

Trump however is a tabloid god, so he'll get off the hook.

I'm pretty sure I saw headlines that claimed both Bush and Obama beat their wives in the White House.

According to tabloids, of course.
