I think in many ways Ossoff was a victim of his own success. The races in South Carolina and Kansas, and to a lesser degree Montana, flew largely under the radar and achieved huge swings because most people weren't paying attention. But, when there was an enormous amount of attention on the Georgia race, largely generated by Ossoff's successful attempts to galvanize Democrats across the country behind in, otherwise tuned out Republican voters tuned back in and voted. It's unclear what this means for 2018; 2018 as a whole will have a fair amount of attention paid to it, but on the other hand each individual race will be much less hyped than GA-06 was.

I think the biggest problem the Dems have is hat they don't have the same win at any cost mentality that the Republicans do. We need to start running ads comparing GOP opponents to the Taliban, just like how they compared Max Cleland to Osama bin Laden.
