For a campaign cycle that sucked as much as 2016 did, it still had its moments.  I really liked the scene where the bird landed on Bernie's podium, and I also have to admit that Trump's attacks on McCain, as cruel as they were, still get a rise out of me to this day.  It was just so out of left field and bizarre, and I hadn't seen anything like it.

Remind us all of any more moments you guys enjoyed.

1. When Trump alpha-maled everybody on the GOP stage.

- In fact my favorite moment this entire campaign was Trump screaming that the towers came down under George W. Bush's watch and that his invasion of Iraq was a huge mistake all the while getting booed to oblivion by the South Carolina debate audience. Him then proceeding to win the SC primary handedly was just marvelous.

My favorite moment of the GOP primaries came from Donald Trump when he crushed the Bush family's vehicle to seize power once again, emasculating him live on stage across the debates. Haha, guac bowl Cheesy

My favorite moment of the Democratic primaries were at the high tide of the Bernie campaign when it looked like a real race where either could win. His campaign went on for a bit longer than it really lasted tbh. I think he was having too much fun.

My favorite moment of the GE was when there was serious buzz over Clinton winning Texas.

-The Jeb Bush 2016 Campaign. Just all of it.

-Ted Cruz endorsing a man who insinuated his father murdered JFK.

-The Libertarian Convention

February 9th was a magical night.

I don't really talk about my degree of involvement with Bernie on the forum (I merely indulge my proclivities towards pro-Prog hackery) but the atmosphere at the victory party was absolutely electric.

Honestly one of the top moments in my short life so far.

Other than that... hmm. Indiana was a nice last hurrah, but the good moments really petered out after March 15 2016... or really Feb 20th tbh.

Ted Cruz's wins in the Iowa caucus and Wisconsin primary, plus witnessing the liberal tears on November 9.

The clear highlight for me was Lincoln Chafee pressing the case for his bold metric system proposal during his announcement speech.

That was a fantastic commercial, but what happened to Bernie was my least favourite moment of 2016.

My two favourite moments of the campaign were:

(1) Trump complaining that the IRS was targeting him for a tax audit because he was a Christian. and

(2) Some commentator on the night of the New Hampshire Primary pointing out that N.H. had under 3% unemployment, one of the lowest crime rates in America and gas under $2 a gallon, and that both parties had just voted for candidates who wanted to start a revolution.

1. The DNC, especially Barack, Michelle, Bill, Khizr Khan and John Allen's speeches.

2. The fall of Marco Rubio

3. Bridgegate, if that's being included

4. "Secretary Clinton, do you wish to respond?" "No."

5. SNL cold opens

Election night when it became clear that we would not have to endure yet another Clinton Presidency.

The crowd at the Clinton election night gathering looked absolutely shell shocked.

In no particular order:
-Lindsay Graham's debate performances
-Donald Trump's ridiculously funny insults towards his opponents during the primary
-Carson failing to come on stage right
-The bird landing on Bernie's podium
-Jim Webb bragging about his Vietnam experience
-Jeb Bush's "please clap" and the turtle thing
-Bernie winning Michigan
-Ben Carson's fruit salad comment and his pyramid theory
-Hillary's ad with the WWII veteran
-Jason Kander's gun ad
-Christie eviscerating Rubio at the debate
-Tim Kaine at the convention playing with balloons
-Ted Cruz's roommate on Twitter
-DNC speeches from: Michelle and Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Cory Booker, Tim Ryan, Joe Allen
-USA chants at the DNC

Gotta love the time Ben Carson tweeted this map….which has a very unusual take on New England:

Also, the best quote from Ben Carson:

While we're on the topic of Ben Carson, I think the two single best moments of the Trump campaign were his takedown of Jeb! and the "Belt of Gold" speech.

The first debate was the best moment of the entire campaign for me. I was really afraid Trump clear the low standard set for him and be acceptable, and it would be like Reagan 1980. Especially since Hillary was almost the incumbent and incumbents almost always lose the first debate. Then as it went on it started shifting in Hillary's favor. The key moment was the exchange on birtherism, Trump boasted about being a birther, then Clinton gave a good answer on how it hurt Obama's dignity and was a racist lie. The exchange at the end on Machado being 'Miss Housekeeping' and 'Miss Piggy' was memorable too and then plunged Trump into a meltdown. I really thought it was the turning point and won Clinton the election. Well it probably won her the popular vote.

Also watching Trump meltdown as he attacked the Khans was fun too and then seeing the polls post-DNC rapidly go into Clinton landslide territory and his own party start turning on him(including speculation he could somehow be removed from the ticket) was fun to watch.

Hillary's June 2 San Diego speech was good. And it made sure she was going to fight Trump and not be complacent and let his unfitness slip by. Probably went too much in the other direction though.

The Wisconsin primary was good. I was hoping there'd be a brokered convention. Shame.

Clinton's appearance on Between the Two Ferns was hilarious.

My least favorite, asides from the night itself, was when Comey released his letter. I knew this was bad. His conduct was awful and it made me furious and afraid.

-Rubio getting crushed by Christie

-Ted Cruz getting booed off the stage at the RNC

-Bernie winning NH, also the day where he won WA, AK, and HI

-Debbie Downer resigning from the DNC

-In non-Presidential news, McCrory getting flushed

Great catalog of events so far, but I will add:

"You can't insult your way to the Presidency"
"Only Rosie O'Donnell" (aka the point of no return when I was not changing my support)

Election night was by far the highlight, especially switching to MSM channels to watch the meltdowns and sad faces.

But the best ad was this one, from Democratic Senate Candidate Kander:

Perhaps an overlooked moment was when Marco Rubio accused Ted Cruz of not being able to speak Spanish (his dad is from Cuba and still speaks with a strong accent), and Cruz responding in a couple of sentences fluent Spanish.

My favorite moment was during the GOP Republican Primary in Nevada when Glenn Beck was speaking to a crowd and Donald Trump entered and Glenn Beck was left speaking to nobody.
