Final African results: A tie between Botswana and Ethiopia!

Even though there were two different run-offs, both ended in a tie, so it looks as though it'll just have to stay that way.

Results so far:

Europe:
1st place overall: Italy
1st place in region: Germany, Norway, Poland
2nd place in region: Czech Republic, Netherlands, Spain, U.K.

Africa:
1st place overall: Botswana and Ethiopia
1st place in region: Cape Verde, Gabon, Morocco
2nd place in region: Burkina Faso, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Kenya, South Africa

Now, we're moving on to a round that I'm guessing might be a bit contentious: The Middle East. Here's the map I'll be using for regional divisions of Asia: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/f3/United_Nations_geoscheme_%28Asia%29.svg/1024px-United_Nations_geoscheme_%28Asia%29.svg.png

(This region is officially called "Western Asia.")

I'm hoping we can have a decent discussion without getting into a nasty political debate (especially one about Israel/Palestine), but you know the drill by now. Three days to vote. Also, note that my inclusion of Palestine is not meant to be a political statement. As I stated in one of the European rounds, in the case of disputed territories, I will always include them as their own option. I'm currently undecided for this round. Please vote and feel free to comment!

I was in Georgia a couple of months ago, and it's kind of under-appreciated as a country, so I'm going to go with them.

Didn't know Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and well...Cyprus...were even part of Middle-East.

I'm not even sure about Turkey, though someone there is making everything to show it currently.

Politically and if u're interested in having water from the ground rather from the sea, Oman, what a hell if u have 20 hours between two planes there though, let's vote for it before it is seized by Filipinos.

I'd be curious to see those crazy build up monarchies, but, well...

I'm using the UN geoscheme for this series. They include these countries in "Western Asia", though I decided to call this particular thread the Middle East.

I'm a bit concerned that this is going to lead to a Lebanon vs. Israel runoff.
