There are already some polls between some potential candidates for Florida Governor in 2018 showing Democratic candidates winning, but none of these polls included Mike Huckabee. So the following question is this :

Who would win between Mike Huckabee, former Arkansas Governor and presidential candidate in 2008 and 2016 and Gwen Graham, U.S. Representative and runner-up in the latest Democratic polls (since I think she could be the Democratic favorite since Charlie Crist declined running)?

Would Huckabee even make it out of a primary?

Graham I think would easily defeat him.

Also, the logic of it being a midterm and Graham losing doesn't make sense, since she won her House seat during a Republican-leaning midterm (AND by defeating an incumbent).

Graham. Florida won't go for such blatant carpetbagging.

Do you think Adam Putnam has a better chance of winning the Florida Governorship than Huckabee has.

Huckabee is no longer a good candidate for anything - but not because of carpetbagging. For one thing, I doubt Floridians care about carpetbagging, considering nearly everyone who lives in Florida is a carpetbagger.

Only about 35% of Floridians were born in Florida; carpetbagging is a weak angle of attack here. That being said, I also think Graham would win as it'll be a Republican midterm, Huckabee doesn't particularly appeal to any voting groups that could change things, and Graham DOES appeal to one of those groups, nostalgic old Southerners.
