Is this normal behavior, or a preview of the coming purge of climate change policy sympathizers?

Nevada has a 3-1 Democratic delegation in the House and a tied Senate.  They ain't gonna be blocking Yucca Mountain under a Trump presidency.  Elections have consequences, and this is one I'll be quite happy to see, if only to finally get the high level waste stuck at the Savannah River Plant someplace suitable for long term storage.

And what happens when the Nevada National Guard meets the waste trucks/train at the Nevada border and politely says, "no"?

Wow, a Republican who actually reduces the size of government!

By purging people of certain beliefs?

You know, it's one thing to disagree with the idea of climate change entirely or at least not want to address it because of the cost, but to actively try and snuff out any research on it, or even go so far as to ban people from discussing it is absurd and makes me question the real motives. I don't agree at all with supply side economics, but I don't encourage politicians to seek out believers in that and purge them from government. The GOP has some serious ethics problems that seem to be on track to get far, far worse under Trump.

As for the Yucca Mountain stuff, well to be honest, I am not against this. It has to go somewhere, and the site is located what, in the desert 80 miles from Las Vegas? It's going to be buried deep underground in a secure facility. I just don't see the problem.

The furor over this reminds me of the irrational fear-mongering over nuclear power in general. There are very safe ways to do it, especially with newer generation reactor designs, but this blind opposition hinders legitimate R&D into it. It needs to stop.

Nothing is being banned. These scientists are free to work in the private sector.

Trump Federalizes the Nevada National Guard and orders them to escort the trucks to and from Yucca Mountain.

Nuclear power is more efficient than any other green fuel and conservatives would be onboard. The blind opposition to it is why I can't greens seriously

They should give him the names of everyone who works in coal in coal country for the department, let Trump fire all them instead.
