Now that former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani is out of the running for Trump's Secretary of State, could he potentially run for NYC mayor again? The Trump voters are there in Staten Island and Queens just like it was for him in 1993 and 1997. I think he can make it competitive. Despite the demographics. Thoughts?

A huge surge of voters from Staten Island could offset that. He did it in 1993.

I think both parties need to stop running washed up candidates from the past

And offset the colossal losses in the rest of the city? Because no way Guiliani is winning anywhere outside Staten Island after his insane support to Trump.

De Blaz is more popular than you think. It will be hard for him to lose.

The latest Qunnipiac poll showed that NYC voters don't think he deserves re-election on a 49-39% basis

Queens. Manhattan. The Manhattan elite loves Giuliani. Forest Hills love Giuliani.

Manhattan loved Giuliani-97, but very unlikely to love Giuliany-17....

Why not?He saved the borough from economic and social chaos after 9-11.

After 9-11 it was Bloomberg. Elected in Novenber 2001. And Giuliany was more socially liberal then, and no immigration extremist to boot. Manhattan is not simply liberal, but very liberal on almost all social issues..

He could win the Bronx. Some Hispanics like him and Bronx whites aren't happy.

You're grasping at straws here, it's clear. No way in hell Rudy Giuliani, his name now eternally linked with Donald Trump, will win Bronx Hispanics.

People like Ruben Diaz, Sr., he could. Not all Hispanics are monolithic. He'll do well with Jewish voters too. He'll do well in Woodlawn, Bronx. It would be competitive.

Rudy would win Staten  Island in a landslide, and would get destroyed everywhere else

He'd overperform in Queens. Forest Hills, Middle Village, Jamaica Estates, Rego Park would go his way. Homelessness is a big issue in these areas because De Blasio wants to allow hotels to become some homeless shelters in these areas.

I lived in NYC for a half of my life. I lived there under the Giuliani years. They are some areas of NYC where Giuliani is revered, regardless of his Trump ties.

I love Rudy but no, he shouldn't run. He'd get crushed.
