I shilled for Debbie Wasserman-Schultz for a while. Extremely embarrassing. Thankfully, I stopped once she voted for the Iran Deal and really started to sour on her during the Dem primaries.

I also said I'd support CCM if Sandoval did not run. This was...not true as I happily supported Joe Heck. Though, CCM is still a mild FF.

This was a map I made that I wish I hadn't. Michigan is especially cringeworthy.

As much as I would like to forget it ever happened, I suppose I'll never live down that thread.

You know which one.

What thread is "that thread"?

Believe me, for everyone's sake, it's better that I leave it at this:

Never, EVER post your teenage feelings on Atlas and expect it to go well.

... I haven't screwed that up at all. And especiàlly not in the last few days.

BTW you've stoked my morbid curiosity. What was the general topic of the thread in question.

On US withdrawal from Afghanistan:

Smiley. We can have more months like this if we pull out immediately.

Yes, there would be more months like this if we pull out.  But then, in the period at the end of those months, there would be more bloodshed.

Whereas if we *don't* pull out immediately, there would be more human life on this Earth.  Exactly when that would begin is something best left up to philosophers, but I think it should be clear to all within about 9 months (which incidentally is roughly when the last international troops are scheduled to leave Afghanistan under current arrangements), give or take.

The joke itself wasn't stupid.  But I was stupid for thinking that you guys would get it.  No one commented on how awesome my joke was in that thread, to my eternal shame.  Sad

That wasn't that subtle Morden. Smiley

Probably shouldn't have revealed my pro-dueling stance.

I had feelings for a girl in 8th grade, went to Atlas, refused every piece of advice I was given, f'd up badly, used the thread as a cringeworthy teen angst punching bag, got rejected by said girl, became severely depressed, spiraled out of control emotionally and left atlas about two years later in part because I felt no one here cared about me either way. I still think that, but I don't care anymore.

That doesn't sound fun.

It wasn't.

Keep a journal. Get a private Tumblr account. Use a notepad app. Do anything other than post your feelings to Atlas. It will never end well.
