Oh Trump will definitely "let it go" when Putin invades your country, Kal. Roll Eyes

I liked your previous hyperboles, but I see you need to readjust Smiley
What's the hyperbole, your country is now in danger.  You have a president who won't come to your defence now.  Have to fend for yourself, and considering the shape of Poland, that isn't the best scenario for you.

How much do you know about Poland?

I know that a right-wing fascist government is in power who isn't the most hostile to Russia.

You know, it's not like we don't meddle in other country's affairs.

Pot meet kettle.
And its wrong when we do it as well.

Wow, I guess this means any election the US has tried to influence is illegitimate as well.

McCain chairs a committee right? He could call for an investigation on his own if I'm not mistaken.

I mean, it would be totally legitimate if those countries' citizens thought so, right?

McCain chairs a committee right? He could call for an investigation on his own if I'm not mistaken.

He chairs the Armed Services Committee, which currently has a 14-12 Republican majority.  Graham is also on the committee, so in principle if McCain and Graham joined the Democrats in a vote on that committee, they'd have a majority.

Of course, that's in *this* Congress.  I suppose if McConnell was really worried about McCain going rogue, he could try to strip McCain's chairmanship in the next Congress, but that would obviously be a rather controversial move.

If I'm reading this right, Lankford is siding with McCain and Graham:

Trump should just support the intelligence conclusion, and say that he had nothing to do with it. After all, it's not his fault that a foreign power decided to intervene to support him. Then, he can put to rest any concerns by adopting a hawkish stance towards Russia, and imposing new sanctions on them. This kills many birds with one stone. A foreign power's attempt to influence our election will have backfired, thus dissuading similar attacks in the future. Trump will kill any notion that the Russians have any information or other ties to blackmail him with. And he will have proven that he puts America First. If he doesn't, he's just feeding into the Democrats' suspicions otherwise.

The alleged RNC hack looks especially bad, because if the Russians are sitting on that info, they can blackmail Trump if there's anything embarrassing in there. Trump must ascertain what they have ASAP, and then release the information as soon as possible, so it's all out there well before the next election, when whatever is there will have faded into the background.

if he wanted to...and would be a real russian agent....he could have killed this whole things months ago with just a bit of lip-service.

out of some strange reason, he just can't bring himself to do it.....and since the election is over, he has no reason to do it anyway.

Looks like we will probably get Congressional hearings/investigations into Russian election interference.

EDIT:

McConnell announces Senate probe of suspected Russian election interference: ‘The Russians are not our friends’

The lines around the block at the polling places I saw had zero to do with any Russian influence.

Trusting the CIA anymore than the National Enquirer or Infowars is crazy. Ever hear of this place called Iraq?

Yeah... wasn't it wrecked by a Republican President who lied to the public about his real motivations?

russia is hacking all western countries....why shouldn't it also try to influence the US?

don't think there are many foreign countries with the means and the will to do this....russia, china...and?

i don't even understand what's the problem.

every american voter could have known this if he or she wanted to hear about it.

this won't take trump's victory away...it's just an autopsy to make sure that in the future no foreign nation is going to try something similar again.
