And they're resurrecting an old 1992 campaign slogan from storage, with a 21st century update:

Democrats Hone a New Message: It’s the Economy, Everyone

Though the Republicans completely ignored what they thought was the problem (not enough minority support) and won anyway, so...

I think Rubio could have won with a different map.

I'd definitely like Democrats to be to the left of Senators Tester and Manchin, but we must be willing to embrace such Democrats anyway, understanding the conservative states they represent. As long as they don't obstruct civil rights progress and embrace leftwing economics targeting inequality and big business, then they should be treated as Democrats of equal value to any other. We need Southern, White Democrats back in office. Period.

Here's where the dems face a pickle how can they ignore the culture issues when Trump makes them issues? Seriously if Jeff Sessions tries to have BLM declared a terrorist group do the dems just ignore it in the hopes of winning back 1 rural white for every two non-white they lose

This won't work. Hillary already overwhelming won working class whites who are concerned about the economy.
